On November 13, 2019, kazitu hosted a guest lecture on "Innovations in agriculture" by Sagitov Abay Orazovich, an expert on plant disease treatment systems, doctor of biological Sciences, Professor, Academician of the national Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director General of the Agropark «Ontustik» In his speech, Professor Sagitov A.O. shared his research on the development of technologies for integrated plant protection system from complex pests, the study of quarantine harmful objects, told about the widely implemented in the production of biological methods on cotton and vegetable crops, innovative energy-saving agricultural technologies and integrated systems of protection of crops from pests.

At the end of the speech Professor Sagitova A.O. were asked topical questions by students and faculty of the University.

Kazakhstan University of engineering and technology in the current academic year holds for students, undergraduates and young scientists review lectures of leading scientists, entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the review lectures is to create an intellectual platform for students to meet with leading scientists, entrepreneurs, familiarize leading scientists of Kazakhstan with examples of the most successful practice in the development of science and technology, experience in solving existing problems, support the development of talented students, disclosure of creative potential, stimulating young scientists to engage in research and innovation activities, popularization and development of science among students.
