On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and on the eve of the New Year of 2020, teachers of the Department of Natural Sciences, together with students of the specialty "Life Safety and Environmental Protection" visited the Nursing Home “Nur” with a charity mission, the initiator and director of which wasNurgaliyevaRozaNuskakbaevna (graduate of KazNU).We collected wearable items, beddings, a grocery basket, and presented small gifts.Veterans gratefully accepted our visit, and, despite their advanced age, listened to the information of Sh.A. Muzdybaeva about our university with interest.Noteworthy was the acquaintance with the 90-year-old patient of the institution, Smolina Anastasia Nikolaevna, who began to write poetry at the age of 75 (video attached).

In our opinion, the educational role of such meetings for students is very important. This meeting was important for us too…

Looking at these lovely, intelligent people who were once active members of society, and today, by chance, are alone with their illnesses, we involuntarily wondered: we should appreciate the fact that we walk on the ground with our feet, are surrounded by attention and care of our loved ones, and are in demand in our professions!
