Goals and objectives of the discipline

Formation of knowledge and skills for successful mastery of speech activities; formation and improvement of language skills in various situations of everyday, socio-cultural, professional communication. Expanding the lexical minimum of commonly used words and phrases, mastering grammatical forms and constructions at the level of their use in speech; forming an idea about the peculiarities of the functioning of the language system in scientific discourse; teaching methods and techniques of structural-semantic and semantic-linguistic analysis of a scientific text in the specialty; formation of the ability to extract the necessary information from the text, describe, summarize and interpret it for use in the process of educational and professional communication; formation of a system of knowledge about the linguistic forms of expression of various types of information of a scientific text, as well as performing various operations on the text: description, generalization, illustration, conclusion; promote the development and activation of logical thinking and presentation based on scientific texts.

Brief description of the discipline: The discipline studies the structure of the Kazakh (Russian) language, functional and stylistic stratification of the language, styles, norms of the Kazakh (Russian) language. The course highlights the specifics of scientific style in order to develop and activate professional and communicative skills and abilities of students, will allow students to practically master the basics of scientific style, and also develops the ability to produce structural and semantic analysis of the text, forming the skills of writing the main genres of educational and scientific secondary texts: synopsis, theses, annotation, abstract, review, review. The structure of the course includes: lexical and linguistic material (at the level of text and sentence), which satisfies the two main principles of language teaching: communication and consistency. The lexical material is organized according to the thematic principle. The text material is cognitive and developmental in nature, reflects the specifics of educational, popular science and special literature.

Learning outcomes.

According to the results of mastering the program, the student has the following learning outcomes (competencies):

  • to make the right choice and use of language and speech means to solve certain problems of communication and cognition on the basis of knowledge of a sufficient volume of vocabulary, a system of grammatical knowledge, pragmatic means of expressing intentions ;
  • interpret the information of the text, explain the stylistic and genre specifics of the texts of socio-cultural, socio-political, official-business and professional spheres of communication in the scope of certification requirements ;
  • to build programs of speech behavior in situations of personal, social and professional communication in accordance with the norms of language, culture, specifics of the sphere of communication, certification requirements ;
