Goals and objectives of the discipline

formation of a holistic worldview, determination of one's place in society from the position of an actual modern humanistic attitude, development of students' interest in fundamental knowledge, stimulation of the need for philosophical assessments of historical events and facts of reality, assimilation of the idea of unity of the world historical and cultural process while recognizing the diversity of its forms. The main objectives of the course are: to create a holistic view of the processes and phenomena in nature and society; acquaintance with historical and philosophical material, which allows to give a general holistic view of the heritage of the past, stimulating the need for philosophical assessments of historical events and facts of reality from the perspective of modernity; identifying the possibilities of modern methods of cognition; formation of a culture of thinking, comprehension of modern ethical and aesthetic attitudes that regulate the relationship of man to man, man to society and man to the environment.

Brief description of the discipline: "Philosophy" is the formation of a holistic worldview that has developed in the context of the socio-historical and cultural development of mankind. "Philosophy" examines and studies the evolution of philosophical thought in the history of mankind, the basic philosophical ideas of different cultures and epochs, the theoretical constructions of individual philosophers.Philosophy is designed to develop stable life guidelines, finding the meaning of one's being as a special form of spiritual production. Promotes the formation of the moral image of a person with the ability of critical and creative thinking. The theoretical sources of this course are the concepts of Western, Russian, Kazakh scientists on the history and theory of philosophy.

Learning outcomes

According to the results of mastering the program, the student has the following learning outcomes (competencies): to

  • possess a broad socio-social, political and professional outlook;
  • have an idea of the subject, functions, main sections and directions of philosophy; the place and role of philosophy in the life of society and man, apply knowledge of philosophical and methodological principles of cognition in professional activity;
  • to think logically, to master the methods of induction and deduction, to determine cause-and-effect relationships; to master the
  • methods of decomposition, analysis and synthesis of systems;
  • discuss ethical, cultural, socially significant issues in discussions, express your point of view, defend it in a reasoned manner, critically evaluate the opinion of interlocutors.
