About the Graduate at METU

If you can't live a day without science and want to teach at colleges and universities, then we are glad to invite you to study at the METU Master's program.
Our master's degree program is scientific and pedagogical (2 years of study), specialized (1.5 and 1 year of study), unfortunately we do not have MBA programs yet.
We accept documents both for a paid department and for participation in a state grant competition.
Form of study: full-time-evening.
Two language areas of study: Russian, Kazakh.

Prerequisite programs for Master`s degree programs


Upon admission to the master`s program, in case the profile of the master`s degree program does not match with the educational program of higher education, the prerequisites for mastering are established for the undergraduate. Applicants are allowed to master them on their own and take exams for a fee after passing the entrance exams. The programs of prerequisites for the educational programs of doctoral studies are developed with the relevant departments.

How to apply to METU

Summer reception - From June 1 to July 8, 2024, applications for admission to the master`s degree are open on the website app.testcenter.kz.

Winter reception - From October 28 to November 10, 2024, applications for admission to the master`s degree are open on the website app.testcenter.kz.


Admission conditions and deadlines:
  • You can submit an online application for participation in Comprehensive Testing (CT) through the website of the National Testing Center app.testcenter.kz;
  • Select our groups of educational programs (GOP);
  • Pay for CT scan;
  • Take a CT scan (the place and time of delivery will be registered in your personal account) and get at least 75 points for a scientific and pedagogical master's degree or at least 30 points for a specialized master's degree;
  • Submit documents to our Admissions Committee to participate in the state grant competition and wait for the results!

Summer reception - After the announcement of the results of the competition, you can apply for a grant or a paid department from August 15, 2024 to August 28, 2025.

Winter reception - After the announcement of the results of the competition, you can enroll in a grant or paid department from December 26, 2024 to January 10, 2025.

Admission of foreign citizens to study on a paid basis is carried out based on the results of an interview conducted by the admission committee.
At the same time, enrollment of foreign citizens is carried out in accordance with the academic calendar 5 (five) days before the beginning of the next academic period.
